We used to go to Japanese restaurants quite often to taste sushi and some exotic dishes. When I was too lazy to go somewhere, sushi delivery helped out. But then they realized that the same thing can be done at home. First they learned how to cook sushi, and then they began to make rolls with various fillings. This recipe will teach you how to quickly and easily cook rolls at home from affordable and inexpensive products.

To make rolls at home, you will need the following ingredients:

5 nori sheets
180 g salmon or salmon https://greenelly.com/
1 avocado
1 cucumber
Processed cheese (you can “Philadelphia”, if you find it on sale)
Rice for sushi 0.5 kg
Rice vinegar 2/3 cup
Ginger
Wasabi
Soy sauce
Lemon
Salt
Sugar
Red caviar – for decorationHomemade rolls

Recipe for homemade rolls:

First, I wash the rice thoroughly, then boil it in a thick or double-walled pot to keep it from burning. Cook rice over low heat for about 15 minutes, until the water boils away and do not stir. The proportions of rice and water are usually 1:1.2. Rice does not need to be salted, because. we’ll fill it with vinegar dressing.

In the meantime, rice is being cooked – you can cut the fish into not too thin strips.

After that, you need to cut the avocado, cucumber and cheese.

Pour the cooked rice into another bowl, let it cool to a warm state. At this time, you need to make a gas station for him. 2/3 cup vinegar dressing for 0.5 kg dry rice. Dressing is done like this: add about 1 tbsp to rice vinegar. sugar and a pinch of salt, bring to a boil to dissolve everything, and turn off. Mix this dressing with rice.

Now you can start rolling the rolls. To do this, we will prepare a special mat (makisu), on the edge of which we put a sheet of nori with the rough side up, on which we then spread the rice in a thin layer, and leave the top edge of the nori about 1-2 cm free so that you can fix the roll. By the way, rice during the preparation of rolls should not be hot and not cold, but warm. After the rice is laid out, we put the filling: chopped fish, avocado or cucumber, cheese. With the help of the mat, we wrap it, constantly pulling the nori to the edge of the mat, closer to us and slightly squeezing. At the very end, cut the twisted roll with a knife dipped in water (!) into 6 or 8 parts.

Ready rolls can be decorated with red caviar.

Serve the rolls with wasabi sauce, ginger, soy sauce and a slice of lemon! Thank you for your attention! If you liked my recipe for rolls, click Like! 😉
