Another trip to the freezer section of your local grocery store and you’re bound to notice a lot of different labels on meat products. Organic, “herbal”… Do they have any real benefits, as opposed to regular meat?
Organic meat is thought to have a slightly higher range of omega-3 fatty acids, which are natural anti-inflammatory agents. “Grass-fed” meat often goes hand in hand with organic. These animals have open access to pastures to feed on fresh grass.
However, not all so simple. “Grass” marking does not always mean that the animal was 100% fed on it, as some producers often resort to fattening animals with grain some time before slaughter.
