  • Lacto- vegetarian: Their diet doesn’t include egg but has dairy products.
  • Vegan: They don’t eat animal or animal by-products. 

Both vegan and vegetarian diets exclude animal products. A vegan diet is the strictest form of diet as they are devoid of any form of animal by-products as well because they want to protect the animal from any form of exploitation and cruelty.

Vegans and vegetarians have their own reasons for leaving no vegetarian food. For some, it is due to religious reasons and for some due to health. The main motive of vegans not eating these by-products is that they believe that we humans have no rights on animal products. Vegans are strictly against animal cruelty and they try their best to protect the animal. So if we compassionate about animals it’s advisable to turn into a vegan.

What Does A Vegan and Vegetarian Diet Consists Of?

Both vegan and vegetarian diet contains less unsaturated fats and cholesterol which is really good for our body. But these diets have fewer vitamin B-12 and Omega 3 fatty acids which are required by the body for healthy mental and physical growth. Apart from these nutrients Vegan and Vegetarian diets consist of many nutrients, minerals, and antioxidants which are highly needed for the body. Vegan does not include any dairy products which are generally consumed by Vegetarian so now it’s on us what we choose a vegan diet or a vegetarian diet.

Both vegan and vegetarian diet consists of a lot of fruits, vegetables, grains, and nuts. Scientists say that eating a diet without non-vegetarian food can really increase our metabolism. A glowing skin, lower heart risks and some of the benefits of a vegan or vegetarian diet. As we grow the lactose digestion becomes difficult. So it preferable to say that vegan diets will benefit us more than vegetarian. Though some essential nutrients will be missing it can be a good option.

Being a vegan is more than just a diet without animal and animal by-products. It is a practice of avoiding all possible animal and their products starting from their dairy products to avoiding derived or used things. It is a very recent movement started to prevent animal exploitation. The vegan society believes that we humans have no right to use animal products and so this movement is for the protection and preservation of animals from hunting, poaching and using animal from our benefits.
